A tall African hand carved wooden tribal mask from KwaZulu Natal in South Africa. This mystical Zulu mask has been handcrafted by genuine Zulu tribesmen of South Africa and is set on the vibrant colors of orange and black. The two contrast in colors make this mask a real beautiful piece of art.

African masks have for many years become known for their mystique and the local African tribesmen and women look at masks with a sense of power and respect to the spirits. This Zulu mask was once used in traditional ceremonies and African dancers and would be seen hung at the entrance of the "African Kraal"- the native name for the housed of the African people in South Africa.

This African mask has traditional Zulu patterns on the face with an African tribesmen head carved into the forehead of the mask. This face represents the eye of the mask and is said to be the good spirit of the house and would ward off any evil spirits.

As the African mask is handcrafted there may be slight differences in the African mask from the picture. Although the African mask will be similar the uniqueness of African arts will mean that no two African masks will be exactly the same in regard to size,color and pattern
