The Zulu artist uses the natural different colors of the banana leaf to create the different color elements. Leaving the banana leaf to dry, the pigment of the leaf changes and at certain stages the artist then curs the leaf so that it will then remain at that color, giving the artist the different colors needed to create this wonderful Banana leaf picture.

This picture is of the African Maasai tribe from Kenya that are well known for their bright red clothes and their trance like state they go into by jumping on the spot on rhythm. This is said to prepare them for battle.
