A large hand carved wooden African Warthog, that has been carved in Zimbabwe by Shona artists. The wood used in Iron Wood which is a very hard and heavy dark brown wood found in the Bulawayo region of Zimbabwe. This warthog is in a sitting position with head turned to the side and scratching it's face and has tusks made from bone.

The detail of the warthog is very accurate with great care been taken to make sure that the proportions of the African wooden warthog is correct. Shona artist are known for their great ability to carve and are some of the finest carvers in the world.
