A traditional wooden Zulu drum that originated from KwaZulu Natal in South Africa. The Traditional Zulu drum has a Nguni hide drum head and carved around the drum is traditional Zulu patterns and images. The drum is hand carved and hand painted in deep earth tone colors and smooth polished.
These Zulu drums are traditionally used during African ceremonies such as weddings and funerals. This Zulu drum has been carved by respected Zulu crafter's found in the heart of Zululand in small town known as Eshowe.
Each Zulu drum is an "original" work of art, individually hand carved, no two are exactly alike which adds to the value of each piece. The original nature of tribal art will be reflected by variances from the drum as shown, each piece of a specific style is similar, but not identical.
