African Traditional Tribal Drums
Below we have a selection of African hand crafted drums mainly carved out of wood with animal skins drum . These drums have been sourced from all over Africa and have traditional carvings and images on the drums.
Drums have played a big part to the lives of African people and go way back in time to mark traditional ceremonies such as weddings/ funerals and coming of ages events. Today the modern African still uses drums in events to mark events of importance and the rhythmic beat can often be heard as the night approaches and events start to begin.
Drums are often used is trance dancers where both male and female African’s dance to the beat of the drum and go into a state of hypnosis to connect with the spiritual world. The African drums that we have are all hand carved with makes each drum unique and no two will be exactly the same. The drums will look similar to the picture but not identical.
