African wooden Tokolosh A handcrafted wooden African Tokolosh. This traditional creature is known by Zulu tribesmen and women and is feared by the Zulu's. This mystical creature is said to come out at night and climb into the beds of the natives and start to eat away at the person eventually killing that person. Zulu people are so afraid of this creature that you will never see a Zulu bed directly on the ground. The beds are raised on bricks. The creature which is said to be only a foot tall then can't climb into the bed.

Mention the word Tokolosh around a Zulu person and you will hear the stories and endless tales of the mystical creature. A truly African item.
