A collection of high quality African handcrafted gemstone butterflies.

Each gemstone butterfly sits on different types of gemstone rocks such as quartz, opal, tiger eye, Red Jasper etc... The African gemstone butterflies are then crafted out of a gold wire frame and small African gemstones are then used to make the different colors of the butterflies. The gemstones used vary in type depending on the color needed. Common gemstones used in these butterflies are Red Jasper, Opal, Quartz, Malachite, Amethyst etc...

These unique gemstone butterflies originate from South Africa.

Each African handcrafted gemstone butterfly is an "original" work of art, individually hand carved, no two are exactly alike which adds to the value of each piece. The original nature of tribal art will be reflected by variances from the gemstone butterfly as shown, each piece of a specific style is similar, but not identical.
