Abstract shona artThis stone sculpture has been handcrafted out of hard and heavy Opal stone. The Opal stone originates from a area in Zimbabwe known as Bulawayo and carved by Shona carvers. This style of carving is also known as Shona art.

Shona art is sort after all around the world and often found in museums. This Opal stone African carving is of a Shona woman in abstract form, with head balancing a round pot on her head. The Opal stone is then smooth polished and set in the natural color of the stone.
