A traditional African Zulu flyswatter used by the Zulu people of South Africa. The flyswatter is handmade of all natural fibers such as cow hide leather . The handle of the Flyswatter is hand carved out of wood and has Zulu beads woven around the handle in traditional Zulu colors and patterns. The tails hair which forms the main part of the Zulu flyswatter is from the tail of an Nguni cow.
This Zulu Flyswatter is also known as a swatch / fly whisk and is used by the Sangoma - An African traditional healer or witch doctor, when performing ceremonies.
This item have since become sort out by collectors who are interested in the Zulu tribe people and other African tribes. The Zulu tribe originates from the KwaZulu Natal region in South Africa.
Each African flyswatter is an "original" work of art, individually handcrafted, no two are exactly alike which adds to the value of each piece.
